Fixed VOC Monitoring
At the request of Ohio EPA, this Agency set up a fixed monitoring site in the area of Bank and Hughes. This monitor was operational for 6 months. Based on a review of the air emission data collected, there is no immediate short-term or long-term health threat from the contaminants being measured.

The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency also uses an evacuated canister to monitor for methane and total volatile organic compounds. The canister sampling locations can be set up where odors are noted by citizens or agency inspectors. A 24-hour or instantaneous sample can be taken.
