The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency (Agency) works with businesses to achieve and maintain healthy air quality. The Agency serves Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties.
Businesses may be required to apply for and obtain a Permit to Install (PTI) or a Permit to Install and Operate (PTIO) prior to installing a new emissions unit.
The Agency requires the submission of data from industries throughout Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, and Warren counties in order to provide the public with information and to maintain an inventory of emissions and their sources.
The complaint program addresses the air quality concerns of residents and businesses in the four-county area through a 24-hour hotline (513-946-7777 or 800-889-0474).
The Agency is responsible for enforcing state and federal asbestos NESHAP regulations in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties.
The Agency is responsible for observing and validating stack/source tests to determine the types and amounts of air pollutants emitted from industrial sources.
